Drive from Glasgow to Fort William on the A82, allow 2 ½ hours
Drive from Fort William to Inverness on the A82, allow 1 ½ hours
Drive from Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh (nearest mainland link to the Isle of Skye) taking the A82 to Drumnadrochit, then take the A887 to Torgyle Bridge, then take the A87 to Kyle of Lochalsh, allow 2 ½ hours total journey time

By Bus

There are two options to cross from Kyle of Lochalsh to the Isle of Skye –

The Skye Bridge forms part of the A87 and links between Kyle of Lochalsh and Skye – the bridge is toll free.

The six-vehicle Skye Ferry operates daily between Glenelg and Kylerhea during the summer months. It is reached via the A87 to Sheil Bridge where there are signs for Glenelg and the ferry. Drivers please note this route is along an alpine style mountain pass.
